Domain names
What’s in a name?
A domain name is a unique name, similar to an e-mail address or telephone number. The domain is made up of a unique series of numbers which make up an IP address.
That series of numbers is attached to a name, like www.poidon.com for example, to make it easier for internet users to find where they are going.
The domain name points to nameservers, ours are called ns1.poidon.com and ns2.poidon.com, and they make the connection between the address you type in to your browser and the location of your physical website.
For domain services contact our domains team at domains@poidon.com or call 0208 298 9777.
